Programs

Enchanted Garden

6 weeks — 12 months

In our “Enchanted Garden” Infant Program, we provide a nurturing and magical environment that symbolizes the beginning of your child’s educational journey. Just like a garden that requires gentle care and attention to help seeds grow, infants in this program receive the utmost care, ensuring they develop essential motor skills and establish their first social connections. The name “Enchanted Garden” signifies the idea that here,  we plant the seeds of curiosity and social interaction, preparing infants for the colorful journey ahead as they move into the Toddler Program.

Rainbow Room

13 months — 3 years

Our engaging “Rainbow Road”  toddler Program is designed for children aged 1-3, symbolizing the vibrant and exploratory nature of this age group. Much like a rainbow, which is a symbol of diversity and beauty, toddlers are at a stage where they begin to express their individuality and curiosity. On Rainbow Road, they explore a diverse range of activities, including music and movement, fostering creativity, physical development, and a love for the arts. Rainbow Road is a bridge that prepares toddlers for their next adventure in the Junior Pre-K Program.

The Explorers

3 — 4 years

“The Explorers Class” is tailored for our 3-year-olds who are almost ready for Pre-K. The name captures their natural inclination to explore and discover. At this age, they’re like intrepid explorers, setting out on a journey of curiosity and imagination. Alongside hands-on exploration in our dedicated maker space and participation in enrichment programs, they engage in music and movement, yoga, and coding activities, promoting early physical, emotional, and technological literacy. “The Explorers Class” readies them to transition seamlessly to the Pre-K class where their adventures in learning continue.

The Inventors

4+ years

Our Pre-K Program, “The Inventors Class,” is the final stepping stone before kindergarten, preparing children for a lifetime of learning and innovation. The name reflects the spirit of inventiveness and creativity that we aim to cultivate in our preschoolers. In this class, they are encouraged to think like inventors, problem-solvers, and imaginative thinkers. The curriculum includes chess, further developing strategic thinking, along with music and movement, yoga, coding, and our dedicated maker space to foster creativity, critical thinking, and a passion for lifelong exploration. Graduating from “The Inventors Class” equips them with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in kindergarten and beyond.

S.T.R.E.A.M. enrichment classes

Providing meaningful, hands-on experience

STEM originally stood for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, but has now expanded to STREAM by adding Reading and Art into the curriculum.

The R in STREAM represents Reading (language and literacy), while the A stands for Art which are both crucial for a child’s development.

Children have a natural inclination to make sense of the world around them, and it is our responsibility as adults to encourage this curiosity and connect their experiences to their cultural backgrounds, interests, and home lives.

Studies have shown that incorporating STREAM experiences in early childhood and elementary education positively influences children's perceptions towards STREAM-based career paths.

Encourages collaboration, communication, strategy, and problem solving

Our Makerspace / Creation Station

Comprised of an assortment of building materials, art supplies, recyclable materials, and everyday household items that students can use to complete assigned projects or engage in free time creative activities

Enables students to explore their creativity and imagination while participating in hands-on learning experiences.

Makerspaces provide a variety of materials and tools that encourage children to explore, experiment, and create. These activities help stimulate their imaginations and creativity, allowing them to express themselves in unique ways.

Provides hands-on learning experiences that help preschool students understand concepts in a more tangible way. By interacting with materials and tools, they can explore and learn at their own pace, which helps them to better retain information.

Makerspaces offer open-ended challenges that require students to think critically and come up with creative solutions. Through trial and error, students learn to problem-solve and persevere, which are valuable skills that can be applied to all areas of life.

Makerspaces encourage students to work together on projects, which promotes collaboration and teamwork. This helps students develop social and communication skills as they learn to share ideas and work together towards a common goal.

Provides a fun and engaging environment that encourages exploration and experimentation. This can help preschool students develop a love of learning and a curiosity about the world around them.

Chess Club (ages 4-5 years):

At our preschool, we are committed to providing our students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in all areas of life. That's why we have decided to offer chess as part of our program. We recognize that chess is not only a fun game but also a valuable tool for developing important skills that will benefit our students for years to come. Research has shown that learning chess at a young age can enhance cognitive development, improve problem-solving abilities, and promote strategic thinking. These are all skills that are essential for success in school and in life. By offering chess in our preschool program, we are providing our students with a unique opportunity to develop these skills in a fun and engaging way. Additionally, chess is a game that can be enjoyed by children of all ages and abilities. Whether a child is a beginner or an experienced player, they can benefit from playing chess. It is a game that encourages healthy competition, fosters creativity, and promotes social skills. Not only is it a fun activity for children, but it can also provide numerous benefits for their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Here are some the benefits of children learning to play chess: - Enhances Critical Thinking Skills: Chess requires players to think ahead and strategize their moves. By learning to analyze the board and make calculated decisions, preschoolers can improve their problem-solving abilities and enhance their critical thinking skills. - Boosts Memory and Concentration: Playing chess involves remembering rules, tracking moves, and paying close attention to the board. This practice can help preschoolers strengthen their memory and concentration skills, which are crucial for academic success. - Encourages Sportsmanship and Respect: Chess is a game that requires players to be gracious winners and respectful losers. By learning to take turns, follow rules, and show respect for their opponents, preschoolers can develop important social skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. - Fosters Creativity and Imagination: Chess is a game that allows players to use their imaginations and creativity to develop unique strategies. By encouraging preschoolers to think outside the box and explore new ideas, you can help foster their creativity and imagination. - Builds Confidence: As preschoolers learn to play chess and make strategic moves, they gain confidence in their abilities. This newfound confidence can help them take on new challenges and succeed in other areas of their lives.

Music Enrichment program (ages 6 months to 5 years):

We have partnered with Rockness Music which is a music program that combines music and movement, dramatic play, phonetics, drumming, choral ensembles, and STEAM to target integral areas of development for our little learners. Incorporating music and movement into a preschool class is essential for the development of young children. Here are a few reasons why: - Encourages Physical Development: Through dance and movement, children develop gross and fine motor skills, coordination, and balance. They also improve their spatial awareness, body control, and flexibility. - Enhances Cognitive Development: Music stimulates different parts of the brain, which can help children develop language and communication skills, memory, and problem-solving abilities. It can also foster creativity and imagination. - Improves Social and Emotional Skills: Participating in music and movement activities can help children learn to work cooperatively in a group, take turns, and share. It can also help them develop empathy, self-expression, and self-confidence. - Provides a Fun and Engaging Learning Experience: Children love to sing, dance, and move, making music and movement activities a fun way to learn. It also helps keep them engaged and focused during class, making learning a more positive experience. Overall, adding music and movement enrichment to a preschool class can have a significant impact on a child's development and provide a foundation for lifelong learning.

Yoga Class (ages 3 to 5 years):

Incorporating yoga into a preschool program has numerous benefits for both the children and the teachers. Here are some reasons why we decided to add yoga into our preschool program: - Promotes physical health: Yoga helps children develop balance, coordination, flexibility, and strength. It can also help improve their posture and overall physical fitness. - Enhances mental and emotional well-being: Yoga has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and promote a sense of calmness and relaxation. This is especially important for young children who may be dealing with emotions they do not understand. - Increases self-awareness and mindfulness: Through yoga, children can develop an awareness of their own bodies and how they move, as well as an awareness of their thoughts and feelings. This can help them develop mindfulness, which can be useful in their future. - Teaches important life skills: Yoga teaches children important life skills such as patience, focus, and discipline. It can also help them develop confidence and a positive self-image. - Improves social skills: Group yoga sessions encourage children to work together, follow instructions, and take turns. This can help improve their social skills and ability to communicate with others. Overall, incorporating yoga into a preschool program can have a positive impact on the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the children, as well as improve their social and life skills.

Tumbling/Gymnastics (ages 1 to 5 years):

We have recently added tumbling to our daycare program, and the benefits for children's physical, social, and emotional development are numerous. Here's why we made this decision: - Physical development: Tumbling is an excellent way for children to develop their gross motor skills, balance, coordination, and flexibility. It helps them build strength, endurance, and agility, which are crucial for their overall physical development. - Socialization: Tumbling provides children with opportunities to interact with their peers and learn social skills such as taking turns, cooperation, and teamwork. It encourages children to support and encourage one another, creating a positive and inclusive environment. - Boosts confidence and self-esteem: Tumbling allows children to learn new skills, take risks, and overcome challenges, which helps boost their confidence and self-esteem. Accomplishing a new skill gives children a sense of pride and accomplishment that carries over into other areas of their lives. - Emotional regulation: Tumbling is a great way for children to regulate their emotions and reduce stress levels. It is a physical activity that enables children to release energy, promoting relaxation and focus. Overall, adding tumbling to our daycare program is an exciting and engaging activity that promotes children's physical, social, and emotional well-being. It is a fun and safe way for children to learn new skills while interacting with their peers. We are thrilled to provide this opportunity to the children in our care.
